Q:What is the best way to control Old World Climbing Fern (Lygodium)?
A: Herbicide control of small isolated populations is very effective, especially if no fertile (spore producing) leaflets have developed. In longer established populations, herbicide control is also effective but continual monitoring and re-treatment will be required since re-growth will occur from areas missed during the initial treatment and from new growth from spores.
